When the time comes your loved ones only have to make one phone call to the funeral director to activate your plan. The funeral director will then take care of everything that you have pre-arranged and expressed in your funeral plan.

- We will either have a phone / video call conversation or come to visit you at your home to have an information chat about what you would like.
- Once we have discussed your preferences and budget we can advise the plan that suits you best.
- Together we can complete the paperwork and submit it to Golden Charter, who will then link with one of over 3000 funeral directors who accept their plans.
- You can either pay for you plan in one payment, instalments for 12 months or a smaller monthly amounts over 10 or 30 years. Once set up Golden Charter will send you your plan documents folder with all of the information about your plan, as well as your membership card.

Q. Can I choose my own funeral director?
A. yes- if you have a preferred funeral director then let us know. We can make sure that this is written in the 'additional information' section on your form. If you don't have any preference then Golden Charter will appoint a funeral director near you from their network of local independent funeral directors.

Q. What happens if I change my mind?
A. If you choose to cancel your funeral plan with 30 days, then Golden Charter will refund the payment that you have made.
Q. What if I have special requests for my funeral?
A. You are able to discuss any special requirements with our estate planner, and we will ensure that these are passed on to Golden Charter. If these cost an additional sum of money, you may be able to add these to the total cost of the plan.
Q. What happens if I die before I have made all of the payments?
A. This will depend on the type of payment method that you have chosen, so you would have to check the terms and conditions specific to your plan. It is usually the case that the outstanding balance will be need to be paid in order for the funeral to go ahead as planned.
